If gripping crime thrillers are your thing, Thadam might just be your next obsession. This 2019 Tamil-language film doesn’t just ask “whodunit” — it dares you to guess right. And with a jaw-dropping twist, it promises you probably won’t.
Directed by Magizh Thirumeni and starring Arun Vijay in a dual role, the film runs 2 hours and 18 minutes but never loosens its grip. It’s sharp, suspenseful, and layered with psychological depth — making it a must-watch for fans of dark mysteries.
The plot centres around a shocking murder. But here’s the twist: there are two suspects — and they’re identical twins. Ezhil is the softer, simple-minded brother, while Kavin is street-smart and legally astute, with a dark streak that makes you question everything. When a crime photo surfaces with both faces, the police are left chasing shadows in a maze of deception.
What makes Thadam stand out is its razor-sharp writing and the way it plays with perspective. It’s not just a hunt for the killer, it’s a dive into the duality of identity, morality, and truth.
And it’s not just fans who are impressed. The film has a solid 8.1 rating on IMDb, earning praise for its gripping screenplay and Arun Vijay’s standout performance. If you’re tired of cookie-cutter thrillers, this one punches way above its weight.
You can stream it for free on YouTube or catch it on Prime Video. So, whether you’re looking to binge on a weekend or need something to truly mess with your head, Thadam delivers.
