While many newcomers often struggle without support, Salman Khan was fortunate to receive help from a fellow actor. In a conversation with Karan Johar, Salman Khan revealed how actor Kumar Gaurav, who was a star in the ’80s, played a significant role in his early days. Salman Khan mentioned that Kumar Gaurav had once given him his new jeans when he needed them the most. He recalled that back then, he didn’t have much in terms of clothes, and Kumar Gaurav’s gesture left a lasting impact on him. Salman fondly stated that he could never forget the generosity of the actor.

He further elaborated on how he often used to visit Kumar Gaurav’s house, and during those visits, Kumar Gaurav would provide him with brand-new clothes. Salman Khan humorously shared how he would return from Kumar Gaurav’s house with a truckload of jeans.

It wasn’t just Kumar Gaurav who helped Salman Khan during his struggling years. Salman Khan also acknowledged the kindness of actor Suniel Shetty. In a separate conversation, Salman Khan mentioned that when he was facing financial difficulties, Suniel Shetty had gifted him a shirt and a wallet. Salman Khan fondly recalled this gesture during the IIFA 2022, where he shared how Suniel Shetty’s support was invaluable during his early career.

Kumar Gaurav, who made his debut in 1981 with Love Story opposite Vijayta Pandit, was the son of renowned actor Rajendra Kumar. His early career saw success with films like Teri Kasam, Star, Naam, and Kaante. However, after 2002, he decided to leave the film industry and pursue a different path. Today, Kumar Gaurav runs a construction company.
