Speaking of his milestones, Nazir has set numerous records, including starring in the most films, playing the most double and triple roles and working with the same heroine in about 130 films. In fact, in 1979, around 39 of his films were released in the same year.
Nazir has collaborated with 85 different heroines throughout his career. By 1975, he had worked with actress Sheela in 130 films, as he considered her as his lucky charm. He also played double roles in over 40 films and appeared in triple roles in three of them.

Prem Nazir has worked in over 700 films as lead actor with 50 of these being blockbusters. No superstar including Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan or Aamir Khan has able to surpass his record.
By the 80s, Nazir moved to do supporting characters but still managed to give hits with his wonderful performances. His charm began to fade away when his contemporaries like Mammootty and Mohanlal were starting to appeal the audiences more.
In 1989, Prem Nazir contracted measles and passed away at the age of 59. His last release was Priyadarshan’s Kadathanadan Ambadi, released in 1990.
