Ayan Mukerji’s directorial War 2, under the banner of Yash Raj Films, was released on August 14. The movie, which was anticipated to be one of the best action thrillers, opened to mixed reviews. Made on a budget of Rs 400 crore, the movie has so far minted over Rs 200 crore. Since War 2 was made under the YRF Spy Universe, there are other films also in the pipeline. The next film to be produced under the YRF Spy Universe will be Alpha. Interestingly, a small glimpse of Alpha was shown during the last few seconds of War 2.
Alpha will reportedly feature Bobby Deol and Alia Bhatt. Reports also claim that the movie will have a cameo by Hrithik Roshan. However, the makers are yet to confirm the same. Meanwhile, earlier rumours were rife that Bollywood’s King Khan, aka Shah Rukh Khan, would also have a cameo in the movie, but those rumours were later dismissed. The production of the film is currently in its final stages.
A recent report on a news portal revealed that Shah Rukh Khan will not be making a cameo in Alpha. However, the film is set to feature two significant cameo appearances.
The first is Hrithik Roshan, who reprised his role as Kabir in War 2 but failed to leave much impact. His cameo in Alpha is therefore being seen as a bit of a gamble. Reportedly, Hrithik completed his portion of the shoot back in June, though the final decision on whether his scenes will make it to the film will be taken during post-production.
While Hrithik’s cameo is more or less confirmed, the second cameo is still being kept under wraps. The makers are said to be saving it as a big surprise for the audience. Alpha will hit the big screens on December 25, 2025.
