Today we will talk about a star, once struggled to meet ends, who comes from a family where parents couldn’t afford buying toys, now she charges whooping amount of Rs 4 crore for a film. We are talking about ‘Crushmika’ aka Rashmika Mandanna.
Born on April 5, 1996, The Pushpa actress comes from a very humble family. She once spoke about her tough childhood and how her family was struggling due to financial crisis. Rashmika revealed that she never takes her success for granted as she has seen her parents struggle to pay house rent. Not only this, she also said that from a very young age, she has seen financial crisis in her family, which is why she now spends her money with lot care.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Rashmika said, “I have been on the other side. There was a time when we would move homes every two months. I have been conscious of these things (struggles) ever since I was a child. I am taking the liberty of recalling how they used to find it hard to search for a place for us to live in and pay those rents.”

During the same conversation, Rashmika revealed that despite financial circumstances, her parents provided her everything she needed. However, the actress knew her family’s situation so she never demanded anything. During childhood, she didn’t even have toys to play and those memories are the reason for her humility. Rashmika added, “In my heart, I am still that girl who could not even buy a toy. I respect the money I earn, the love I receive and the acknowledgement that I get as an actor. My childhood memories don’t let me take my success lightly, because I know this will not last forever.”
However, the little Rashmika has now grown up and has blossomed into a wonderful lady. Since eight years, she has been ruling the film industry and become one of the highest-paid actresses. According to Forbes, she has a net worth of Rs 66 crore. Rashmika charges Rs 4 crore for every film and that is not only the source of her income. Brand endorsements, advertisement shoots and event appearances are a few other sources that help boost her financial portfolio.
Meanwhile, on the professional front, Rashmika Mandanna will be next seen in the highly-anticipated sequel of Pushpa i.e. Pushpa 2 alongside Allu Arjun. The high octane action drama is all set to be released on December 5, 2024.
