The lead actress emerged as the female performer of the year, making it one of best of movies of 2024.

Article 370, released in 2024, revolves around an intelligence agent, who, following a critical event in Kashmir, is chosen by the Prime Minster’s joint secretary for mission, aimed at tackling terrorism by rendering Article 370. This action-packed political thriller left a strong impression, and Yami’s stellar performance elevated its intensity. As NIA agent Zooni Haksar, she was an ideal choice for the role, giving her character real depth and authenticity.

With her outstanding performance in Article 370, Yami emerged as the female performer of the year, making it one of best of movies of 2024. The film’s worldwide gross stood at Rs 105.15 crore, comprising Rs 78.12 crore nett in India and Rs 12.15 crore from overseas markets. Directed by Aaditya Suhas and Jambhal, the film also stars Priya Mani, Arun Govil and Vaibhav Tatwawadi among others in key roles.

Almost two months after its theatrical release, Article 370 released digitally on Netflix on April 19, 2024. Set against the backdrop of true events, Defence Minster Rajnath Singh also praised about the film and said, “This film shows how complex this problem was and how challenging the solution was and it also presents a good example of women empowerment. I congratulate the producer-director and all the actors of this film for their effective presentation.”

Article 370 offers audience a gripping narrative constructed with political intrigue, national security and intense action sequences. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also talked about the film and said, “It is a good thing as Article 370 will help people in getting correct information.”
