Ahead of its release, this film has already made a business of Rs 9000 crore. This kind of magic even Shah Rukh Khan, Prabhas, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, and Aamir Khan couldn’t even dream of. This film features Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, and Pashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. Now you might have guessed the film! We are talking about none other than the Pushpa franchise. Ever since the second part was announced, fans are desperately waiting for its release. Pushpa: The Rule has been the most hyped-up film of 2024.
However it is important to know that, Pushpa 2: The Rule hasn’t made any official comment on the same. But the film made Rs 920 crore just by selling rights to the OTT platform. Media reports suggest that Pushpa 2: The Rule has sold their OTT rights for Rs 650 crore. The filmmakers have also claimed that the upcoming film has never made a business of any such kind, thus reaching new records in Indian cinema. Reportedly, OTT platform, Netflix has acquired Pushpa’s rights for Rs 270 crore.
Allu Arjun’s upcoming film Pushpa 2: The Rule will make history by becoming the costliest film to be sold on OTT, surpassing SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which sold their OTT rights for Rs 170 crore. If reports are to be believed, Pushpa 2: The Rule has sold their OTT rights for Rs 250-300 crore. Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa: The Rule will hit theatres on December 6, 2024. Reports also suggest that the budget of this film has been made with a budget of Rs 500 crore.
