In today’s world, entertainment options are endless. Even if new films skip the theatres for a week, audiences never run out of choices thanks to OTT giants like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. From romance to action, comedy to crime, digital platforms serve every flavour.
Amid this digital wave, a Telugu thriller has gripped audiences with its razor-sharp suspense and unforgettable climax. Titled The 100, this film has not only stormed the theatres during its initial release on July 11 but is now ruling the OTT charts as the No.1 trending film on Amazon Prime Video. Many viewers even claim its climax makes them forget Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja.
The plot begins with the suicide of a young woman following a bitter argument with her hacker boyfriend. Around the same time, an IPS officer named Vikrant, known for opposing encounter killings, is handed the responsibility of investigating a series of robberies and murders near Hyderabad.
What looks like a straightforward investigation soon unfolds into a maze of twists. During his inquiry, Vikrant meets Aarti, a fearless and outspoken young woman who leaves a strong impression on him. However, their second meeting shows her in an entirely different light, unsettling Vikrant further.
As the investigation deepens, Vikrant cracks a major robbery case and recovers stolen jewellery, among which lies a piece belonging to Aarti. That single object drags him into haunting memories, pushing the story into darker, more unpredictable terrain. What follows is a rollercoaster of revelations, leading to a climax that audiences insist is not to be missed.
The 100 has earned an impressive 7.6 rating on IMDB, a testament to its well-crafted suspense and narrative strength. The film is now streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, where it continues to trend at the top.
The movie stars Misha Nair and Dhanya Balakrishna in lead roles, with direction by Raghav Omkar. From the storyline to performances, and especially its unpredictable finish, The 100 is quickly becoming a must-watch thriller for fans of Telugu cinema and beyond.
If you’re in the mood for an edge-of-the-seat thriller filled with mystery, unexpected turns, and a finale that lingers long after the credits roll, The 100 should be on your weekend watchlist.
