Every superstar has a story, and some stories begin with humble beginnings and immense determination. One young actor from Punjab arrived in Mumbai with nothing but a dream to shine on the silver screen. Today, he is celebrated as a legendary figure in Bollywood, known for his charm, action-packed performances, and lasting impact on generations of fans.
This superstar is none other than Bollywood He-Man, Dharmendra. When he first entered the film industry with the movie Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere, he earned only Rs 51 for his role, a payment collected from three small-time producers who contributed Rs 17 each. This tiny fee marked the beginning of a journey that would eventually see him become one of India’s most beloved actors.
Over the years, Dharmendra transformed his career into a vast empire. His net worth today is estimated at around Rs 450 crore, with assets that reflect his success both on and off screen. These include a sprawling 100-acre farmhouse in Lonavala, multiple properties in Maharashtra valued at over Rs 17 crore, agricultural and non-agricultural land worth Rs 88 lakh and Rs 52 lakh respectively, and a luxurious car collection featuring a vintage Fiat, a Range Rover Evoque worth Rs 85.74 lakh, and a Mercedes-Benz SL500 valued at Rs 98.11 lakh.
Beyond films, he owns businesses like restaurants “Garam Dharam Dhaba” and “He-Man” on the Karnal Highway, runs his production house Vijayta Films, and is reportedly developing a luxury cottage resort near his farmhouse. Despite this immense success, he remains grounded, passionate about farming, spending time at his farmhouse, and valuing simplicity alongside his cinematic achievements.
Recently, fans were concerned when Dharmendra was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai after experiencing mild breathlessness. He is under observation as a precautionary measure, and his condition is reported as stable. During his hospital visit, Sunny Deol came to see his father, accompanied by his sons Karan Deol and Rajveer Deol. Hema Malini, Esha Deol and Tanya Deol, Bobby Deol’s wife, were also present to check on him, while superstar Salman Khan paid a visit to show support and solidarity. Sunny Deol appeared emotional during the visit, covering his face from cameras, highlighting the deep bond and concern within the family. The actor’s team requested fans to respect his privacy and keep him in their prayers.
Dharmendra’s journey from a small-town boy to a Bollywood legend inspires aspiring actors and fans.
