The actor is focus is a veteran who started his career has a playback singer and boasts of a career spanning over five decades now. He has down over 190 films and is also the recipient of Padma Shri.

Hailing from Sikkim, this actor is a man of many hats. He has worked with all the Bollywood biggies like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra, Anil Kapoor, Jeetendra and even made an appearance in Hollywood alongside Brad Pitt. He is highly ranks in Bollywood’s famous villains. His name is Danny Denzongpa. He has worked with new age actors like Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai etc.

Actor Turns Leading Businessman in India

Danny Denzongpa was born as Tshering Phintso Denzongpa. But on the advice from a very famous actress and close friend, Jaya Bachchan, he changed his name. Jaya Bachchan was his classmate in  Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).

Denzongpa became one of the most handsome villain and is regarded for his character of Kancha Cheena in ‘ ‘Agneepath’. His famous negative roles in movies like Bandish, The Burning Train, Hum, Ghatak, Pukar, 1942: A Love Story, Army etc, are cherished till date.

In 1987 he diversified his business by founding Yuksom Breweries in his native state. In 2005 he established Denzong Breweries in Odisha and steadily went on to acquire more and expanded his business. Today Yuksome is the third largest Indian beer company.

It was reported that Vijay Mallya was a reigning business in this sector. He was supposed to acquire Assam’s Rhino Agencies to find his market in north East. However, Denzongpa bought it ahead of him and made a stronghold for himself in the seven states.

Today his company employees over 250 people and contributes as much as Rs 100 crore to the local economy yearly as per HT report. As per Celebrity Net Worth report, Danny Denzongpa approximately has a net worth of Rs 80-86 crores in 2024.

Denzongpa was last seen in Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Unchchai’.
