There have been many iconic on-screen pairs in Indian cinema like Govinda-Raveena Tandon, Amitabh Bachchan-Jaya Bachchan, Govinda-Karisma Kapoor, and Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol. While some have worked together in three films, others have shared the screen in more than five. However, the duo we’re talking about today has starred in not just 10 or 20 but an incredible 130 films together! Their names are even recorded in the Guinness World Records.

The duo we’re talking about isn’t from the Hindi film industry but from the Malayalam film industry. Known as the Prem-Sheela jodi, they have starred in over 130 films together. Impressively, half of these films turned out to be box office hits.

Prem Nazir and Sheela’s names are recorded in the prestigious Guinness World Records. The Malayalam superstars worked together in around 130 films between 1962 and 1981. In 1983, Sheela took a break from acting, got married, and moved abroad. Sadly, Prem Nazir passed away in 1989. Notably, he also holds a record for acting in over 700 films.

Prem Nazir and Sheela delivered more than 50 superhit films together. In comparison, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol have given 6 hits, while Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan have 10 successful films together. Even Dharmendra and Hema Malini, despite delivering over a dozen hit films, couldn’t surpass Prem-Sheela’s record.
