There are many actors and actresses who hail from engineering background and later found their calling in films. Today we will be talking about one such actress who started her career as an engineer and later gained fame through beauty pageants. Eventually, she made her Bollywood debut with one of the most successful Kannada films. Yes, she is none than KGF fame Srinidhi Shetty.
Born into a Tulu-speaking family, Srinidhi Shetty was raised in a supportive environment. After completing her schooling, she decided to pursue a bachelor degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. During her college days, she was always active and participated in extracurricular activities.
From there, her interest in beauty pageants began, leading her to participate in a contest and became a top finalist. Over the years, she won several titles including Miss Karnataka and many more. While balancing her engineering career, she began modelling and later won the Miss Supranational title in 2016.

Shetty’s Bollywood breakthrough finally came when she appeared in 2018 film KGF Chapter 1 starring Yash as the main lead. Directed by Prasanth Neel, the film was a blockbuster hit and received widespread love from the audiences. Made in Rs 80 crore, the Kannada film earned Rs 250 crore at the box office.
Srinidhi played the role of Reena Desai, Rocky’s (Yash) love interest, in the film. Her on-screen presence captivated the audience, marking this film a significant milestone in her career. As per TOI, Shetty refused seven offers from southern filmmakers for the sake of KGF: Chapter 1. Despite appearing in a limited role, she bagged good reviews for her attractiveness and impeccable screen presence.
Meanwhile, Srinidhi Shetty is set to be seen next in films like HIT: The Third Case and Kichcha: 47.
