Tholi Prema First Look: Will Varun Tej‬ And Director Venky Taste The Same Success As Pawan Kalyan‬’s 1998 Film?

Varun Tej‬'s Tholi Prema is all set for a February 9, 2018 release

‪‪Varun Tej‬, ‪who impressed fans with romantic comedy Fidaa mid this year, is all set to make fans fall in love once again with his next Telugu film, Tholi Prema‬ (First Love). It is a tale of first love and so you can imagine a lot of mush and a relatable story line that with tug at your heartstrings. The first look of Tholi Prema just released on the internet and it already has thumbs up from fans. All set for a February 9, release, the film is directed by debutant Venky Atluri and stars Rashi Khanna as the female lead.

Interestingly, a film by the same title was made back in 1998 with Pawan Kalyan‬ as the lead hero. The film had gone on to become a great box-office success and had won lot of love and appreciation for the power-star. Now, many years later, the title is being used again in the superstar’s brother Naga Babu’s son Varun Tej’s film. It will be interesting to see if the young actor also receives the same kind of love and adulation for his romantic film.

The director Venky is quite confident that the film and Varun’s chaarcter as the cute lover boy, will endear him to fans – both old and new. In his earlier interviews, he has called the film, “a cute and emotional love story that will strike a chord with all the youngsters.” What also wins for the movie is the music by S Thaman. While this is his first ever outing for a love story, from his track record, it can be said that the music will be something to look forward to. If the music is able to impress the audience, that is the first step to success for any love story.

Currently, the final shots of Tholi Prema are still being shot and it will go in the post production stage by the end of December or early January, and be ready for a February release, in time for Valentine’s Day.
