The first song from Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha was released two days back. Titled, Has Mat Pagli, it shows Keshav (Akshay) who is madly in love with Jaya (played by Bhumi Pednekar). And yesterday,  the makers unveiled the female version of the song, titled Hans Mat Pagle, which shows Jaya’s side of the story and how she falls in love with Keshav. And today, the duet version of the song is out, and it’s even better than the female and the male version. Crooned by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal, it is a nice and romantic number. The lyrics penned by Siddharth and Garima, are simple and nicely reflect the rural setting of the film. Check out the song right here:

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha deals with the need of sanitation in rural areas of India and is based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan. The film has been co-produced by Akshay and Neeraj Pandey, and also stars Anupam Kher and Sana Khan in key roles. The trailer of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha was dropped upon us on June 12, and it was appreciated by Bollywood celebrities and film critics. Censor Board of Film Certification Chief Pahlaj Nihalani also had nice things to say about the film. In fact, he even put out a tweet saying that the film should be made tax free.

Earlier this month, Akshay also met Narendra Modi and told him about the film. In fact, the Prime Minister couldn’t stop laughing when Akshay told him the title of the film.
