Rajinikanth‘s Kaala has found itself in the midst of trouble as the Tamil Film Producers’ Council (TPFC) led ongoing strike is posing challenges to the film’s producers to secure the clearance certificate from the Censor Board for its theatrical release. Kaala is produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films and it boasts an ensemble star cast. Actors Nana Patekar, Huma Qureshi, Samuthirakani, Pankaj Tripathi, Easwari Rao and others play important roles. On Sunday, last week, Vishal, the TPFC President reportedly met Rajinikanth to discuss the matter with him and brief him about the protest which has brought the entire Tamil film industry to a standstill since the beginning of this month. Vishal told a leading daily, “Rajini sir had asked us to ensure that the workers and labour shouldn’t be affected diversely by any decision. He further implored to seek a solution at the earliest.” Also Read - From Covid Fight To Rajinikanth's Appeal To His Fans: Top News Headlines From Tamil Nadu

A No Objection Certificate (NOC) has to reportedly be provided by the producers’ council to enable them to go ahead with the censor Board formalities. However, reports indicate that the NOC has stopped being given by the association from March 16. Now it looks like the release date of Kaala will once again be called off due to the industry strike. Only once the standoff is called off will the films be allowed to release based on the dates certified by the Censor Board.
