Recently he shared a joke about Coronavirus and it’s side effects which was more of ‘sexist’ comment according to Twitterati. The joke didn’t go down well with netizens. The joke shared by @chintskap had a picture of a man with long ears and ‘5 days at home listening to wife’ written on it. Rishi captioned the pic as “On a lighter note! Piku director Shoojit Sircar slammed Rishi Kapoor and wrote, “Ya just 5 days.. woman /wife’s/mother’s have been locked down since generations serving the family”.

In another tweet, the Rajma Chawal actor told netizens that this is not a time to trivialize issues. “Anyone cracking jokes about my country or on my lifestyle, will be deleted. Be aware and warned. This is a serious matter. Help us to tide over the situation,” Rishi wrote. The veteran actor even changed his Twitter description to what he wrote in his tweet.
