As per Supreme Court’s decision on Tuesday, now triple talaq is deemed unconstitutional and hence will finally be striking it down. The bench comprised of five judges of different faiths deliberated for three months before issuing this order. The order comes in response to petitions from seven Muslim women who had been divorced through triple talaq.
