Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, is having a tough time at the box office, with its performance overshadowed by the monstrous success of Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, helmed by Aditya Dhar. The film’s opening weekend saw a lackluster response, and its second-day collections show no signs of improvement, as it faces tough competition from both Dhurandhar and James Cameron’s visual spectacle, Avatar: Fire and Ash.
According to the latest updates, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri earned Rs 5 crore on its second day, bringing its total collection to Rs 12.75 crore. The film had a weak opening day with Rs 7.75 crore, and the second day’s figures indicate that it’s struggling to maintain its momentum. The box office performance of the film has been severely impacted by the massive success of Dhurandhar, which made Rs 15 crore on its second day, more than double what Tu Meri Main Tera earned. Additionally, the Hollywood film Avatar: Fire and Ash has also contributed to the competition, earning Rs 7.50 crore on its eighth day.
The ongoing competition from these big films has created a tough situation for Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, especially considering its reported budget of Rs 90 crore. The film’s slow box office run, despite having notable actors like Kartik and Ananya, signals a struggle to break even in the coming weeks.
Directed by Sameer Vidwans, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri tells the story of Ray and Rumi, who fall in love while on a trip to Croatia. However, Rumi faces a dilemma: she doesn’t want to leave her aging father (Jackie Shroff), an ex-army man, in Agra to move to the US with Ray after marriage. The movie explores the complexities of balancing personal relationships and family responsibilities.
Along with Kartik and Ananya, the film also features performances by Neena Gupta, Jackie Shroff, and Aruna Irani in key roles, but the emotional depth and performances are not enough to elevate the film’s box office performance in the face of strong competition.
