Salman Khan is gaining attention since few days due to his new upcoming film ‘Tubelight’. Salman looks simple as hell in this film and fans could not stop gushing over his undemanding look that he revealed recently on Twitter. The actor also is popular in  homes because of his hilarious hosting in the entertaining show Bigg Boss 10. Now with all this already going on with the megastar Salman Khan, he recently made headlines for a different reason altogether and of course a good one! We all know that Mumbai city is facing a major problem of open defecation which is absolutely necessary to be addressed asap! So to contribute in rooting out this problem, Salman Khan has become the part of the initiative to aware people against it!

Surprised? Let us take you into the details now! Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) recently made the Sultan star the brand ambassador of Open Defecation Free (ODF) drive. The handsome bachelor was then seen at the launch of this initiative wearing a simple shirt and denims looking younger that what he is!

According to the reports by Pinkvilla, tinsel town’s Sallu bhai said, ” In a mega-city like Mumbai, this looks really awkward to find people defecating in open. I will try my best to tell them to do away with this practice.” Not only this, Salman also vowed to donate five mobile toilets for this initiative, helping the campaign! (ALSO READ: Breaking! Well, we all know how popular is Bajrangi Bhaijaan amongst the fans. He is already known to do charity work through his brand ‘Being Human.’ Also many of the industry fellas have appreciated the star for his generous help. Not to forget, he has often proved to be the Godfather of many of the kids of Bollywood celebs. So, this shining Khan now getting to campaigning, will surely attract loads of supporters from the industry. We hope that fans who followed him right from his signature hairstyle in ‘Tere Naam’ to his body in ‘Bodyguard’ , also follow him back in this initiative and prevent open defecation in the city! Incidentally, an upcoming Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer movie ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ is also based on the concept of open defecation. This movie is a love story that revolves around a guy who runs pay-and-use toilet and how he falls in love with a girl who visits it daily. The film is going to highlight the problem of open defecation and is inspired by the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. So, we see that the problem has hit the major mark and there is a sudden urge in the city to get rid of it. Now so many stars working for it, we hope that the problem of open defecation leaves the country just as quick as possible!
