The much awaited film Vidya Balan and Manav Kaul starrer Tumhari Sulu has taken a decent start at the box-office on its release date. Though the film, which took a slow start, picked up; it saw a gradual growth in the evening and the night shows. Taran took Twitter to write, “Tumhari Sulu picked up after a slow start in the morning shows… Fri ₹ 2.87 cr. India biz… Expected to register robust growth over the weekend.” Also Read - Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi Blessed With a Baby Boy
Tumhari Sulu released on the same date as Gautam Rode and Zareen Khan starrer Aksar 2. Since Aksar 2 received a mediocre response from the audience, we are sure that Vidya’s film will face no competition from Aksar 2 but Hollywood movie Justice League may stand as a competition for Vidya Balan’s film. Another reason for Vidya’s film to have not received great response despite being a brilliant film is because it has a completely different set of audience but we could still expect the film to take a good jump over the weekend and also, word of mouth can do the magic.
