Kapil Sharma’s New Show to go on Air From December 23 With Shah Rukh Khan as Expected First Guest

Kapil Sharma‘s return on Hindi television is much awaited. The actor-comedian is coming back with his popular show but the details aren’t yet revealed. The show was expected to go on air in November this year but seems like the makers have got different plans. Kapil’s comedy show will now reportedly premiere in December. As per a report in a leading daily, Kapil and team are working on the show with a lot of excitement and it is set to take over the screens from December 23.

A source close to Mumbai Mirror revealed that the format of the show is quite similar to that of Kapil’s previous shows — Comedy  Nights With Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show. The report also suggested that a new set is being built at a Mumbai studio and the actor’s team constitutes many familiar faces. The source said, “A new set is being built at Mumbai’s Film city studios for the shoot. The set will have houses and a marketplace where the various characters will interact”.

Notably, the new show will be going on air sans Sunil Grover and Ali Asgar. The two actors are reportedly starting another comedy show with actor Kunal Kemmu as host. Kapil’s show, however, includes popular names like Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Chandan Prabhakar, Kiku Sharda, and Sumona Chakravarti.

The grapevine is also abuzz with the names of the celebrities expected to grace the first episode of Kapil’s new show. It was being said that since Salman Khan is producing the show, he will himself appear as the first big guest. However, the speculations are now rife that Shah Rukh Khan will be seen promoting his upcoming, Zero, with Kapil on the show. In fact, the makers are reportedly trying to get Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma along with SRK to open the show. Surely something to make Kapil’s fans happy!
