Actor Sharad Malhotra, who is currently seen in Ekta Kapoor’s show Naagin 5, has tested positive for the coronavirus. The actor released an official statement to inform all about his diagnosis. Sharad plays the role of Veer in the popular supernatural show and he got himself tested along with the rest of the cast and the crew after a team member contracted the deadly virus. Actor Surbhi Chandna, who plays the lead female character in the show, is still awaiting her test results. She took to social media to inform her fans that she’s feeling fine as of now. As revealed in his statement, Sharad has got mild symptoms. He has been asked to quarantine at home. The actor’s wife, Ripci Bhatia, has tested negative. The actor said, “They say if you stay positive good things and people will be drawn to you. Damn! Took this line too seriously. Unfortunately, I have tested positive for COVID-19, with mild symptoms and thankfully my wife has tested negative and continues to follow all precautionary measures. Earlier, star couple Vikaas Kalantri and his wife tested positive for the virus. They informed their fans with a social media post and said that they had mild symptoms. “My wife Priyanka & myself have tested positive for COVID-19 today. We are home quarantined with mild symptoms & are taking the utmost precautions and care. We have isolated ourselves.
