In Udann 3 February 2017, we will see that Suraj still suffers from extreme hunger as Kamal Narayan denies to give him any food. Even though he gave his word to Chakor that he will give food to Suraj if he will put his head on Kamal Narayan’s feet and ask for forgiveness. Chakor manipulated Suraj by emotionally blackmailing him. She bruised herself with a knife to prove to Suraj that he is too weak to save his wife’s honor. Suraj understands Chakor’s point of view and agrees to beg for food from Kamal Narayan. But as expected, Kamal Narayan goes back on his promise instead of fulfilling it. He always backs off from his words and cheats. This time as well, he offers two big empty plates to Suraj and gives him a tiny hope for food. But soon it gets revealed that he has some other plans to torture Suraj some more. He tells Chakor that it’s a democracy and he will take the vote of all the villagers before giving food to Suraj. He asks Suraj to wait for one more night and then he will gather the villagers for a vote. Suraj was very brutal towards the villagers in his past, he now doubts if villagers with empathize with him or not. He knows that his evil past is catching up to him and he is paying the price for his bad deeds by being a bandhua. In his earlier days, he used to torture bandhuas and treat them mercilessly. Today in Udann we will see that Kamal Narayan keeps his filthy game going and asks the villagers to do justice to their fellow bandhua. He says that a bandhua needs to earn every bite of food. Since Suraj has not worked for the welfare of the village, he is not entitled to any food. To earn it, he has to repair all the broken wells in Azadganj and then the villagers will decide if he has worked enough to earn food for the day. Suraj has been hungry for many days and he doesn’t have the energy to work.
