Shorgul stars Jimmy Shergill, Ashutosh Rana, Hiten Tejwani and Suha Gezen, among others. The film may turn out to be controversial because it covers the intolerance debate that rocked India for most of 2015. The film reportedly shows some real-life political situations in the story. The poster shows a kind of face off between Jimmy Shergill and Ashutosh Rana. The new promotional also shows other actors of Shorgul and also some newspaper headlines related to the topic. The film is set in Uttar Pradesh.
