Chahatt Khanna is a name synonymous with resilience and talent in the Indian entertainment industry. Khanna has been a part of the industry for quite some time, and the place is no stranger to controversies. A few years back, Chahatt and social media icon Uorfi Javed were involved in a verbal spat when the former actress commented on Uorfi’s clothing style and also took a dig at her. This sparked an argument between the two ladies, making headlines.
This is not the first time the two have been involved in a verbal spat. Now, in a recent interview with India.com, when Chahatt was asked whether she still holds her ground on what she said two years ago about Uorfi, to this, the actress replied by saying, “I do.”
When asked about the brawl between Chahhat and Uorfi and whether Khanna still stands firm on the statement she made about Uorfi, the actress said, Han main itna zarur bolungi, that I still vouch for whatever I said. Lekin yes, commendable, ladki (Uorfi) ne apna rasta bana liya. Chaye jaise bhi banaya ho. But han shayad wo hai ki people might, or I don’t know, but might not take her seriously or might not respect her, but yes at least she made it.”
Khanna further added, “Amazon doing a series with her is like either Kalyug or I was wrong. But she made it, so yeah, commendable. Now I think she is also dressing up pretty well.”
Chahhat also said that she still holds her ground on the comment she made about Uorfi two years back. “Yes, yes, what was wrong in that? There was nothing incorrect in what I said. In fact, after that, there has been some improvement. It was not only me, but many people in the industry had said the same thing. But the good part is that she took it positively, and now things are good with her.”
For the unversed, Chahhat and Uorfi had a verbal spat in 2022 when the former actress commented on Uorfi’s dressing sense.
In one of her social media posts, Chahhat had said, “Who wears this? And on what streets? I mean, anyone would remove their clothes, and the media makes them a celebrity? Is Indian media so vulnerable? It’s easy to buy this cheap publicity and media. This cheap show you all are promoting to our generation—anyone would pay for spotting and do anything or even go nude, and you’ll carry it? This is obnoxiously sad. God bless you with some wisdom (sic).”
