Tagged as one of the most humble stars in the film industry, Bollywood hunk Varun Dhawan is often flanked by fans and paparazzi outside his gym and this Holi was no different. A few videos currently going viral show Varun obliging a paparazzo for a selfie video after asking a policeman to take him. It so happened that the young pap, Chotu Pandey, had often risked his life on the road to capture Varun and concerned for his safety, Varun asks a policeman standing nearby to ask the boy to take care of himself or he will lock him up. On Holi, Chotu followed Varun from his gym till the recording studio. Varun jokingly asks the policeman if it is allowed, to which the cop replies that for celebrities it is but the boy should not rish his life for it. Varun complains that he keeps running on the road behind him even after he obliges and this could result in him falling down. snatching the camera from Chotu, Varun asks the police to take him as he records. In another video, Varun is seen obliging to Chotu once again and wishes the latter’s friends a “Happy Holi”. When Chotu asks him to wish people back in his “village” Nepal, varun corrects him saying that Nepal is a country, not a village. This makes the pap crack up.

On the professional front, Varun is gearing up for Coolie No. 1 which is a remake of 1995 Govinda and Karishma Kapoor starrer. The remake features Sara Ali Khan opposite Varun in the lead. Recently, during an interaction with Zoom, Govinda mentioned how Varun looks up to him and he wishes him the best for the success of Coolie No. 1 remake.
The filming of the David Dhawan directorial began in August last year in Bangkok. After shooting the major parts in Thailand, the team flew back to Mumbai where the rest of the film was shot. Now, the team wants to capture the churches and the beaches of Goa to bring more peppiness to Sara’s character and define romance between her and Varun’s character. Producer Jackky Bhagnani talked to the daily about the same and said, “Sara’s character is from Goa, so, we will also be filming some important scenes which are integral to the narrative, along with some lighter moments featuring Jaaved.”
A song was being picturised on Varun and Sara in Goa which is composed by Tanishk Bagchi. It has been shot in and around Panjim area in Goa. The six-days schedule was wrapped up in February this year. The makers of Varun and Sara starrer have also recreated the famous song ‘Main Toh Raste Se Ja Raha Tha…’ from the original Coolie No. 1. The original 1995 hit film featured Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the lead. The remake of Coolie No. 1 is set to hit the screens on May 1.
