From all the people complaining about the year, Varun Dhawan isn’t one of them. The Badrinath Ki Dulhania actor has been a revelation at the box office with his films receiving a lot of love from the audience. Varun is recognised as a protege of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan after starring in Judwaa 2, the sequel to Salman’s 1997 film Judwaa. And so, there have been recent rumours of a remake of another Salman Khan film Biwi No 1 (1999), with Varun Dhawan starring it. Responding to these rumours, Varun Dhawan denied their authenticity. Varun told Mumbai Mirror, “Biwi No 1 is still just a rumour, I’ve done two films with dad and would love to do a third, but it could just be a completely original film this time.” Varun’s father, David Dhawan, who directed the original 1999 comedy, also denied the rumours saying, “Good that people are speculating about what we will do next. We haven’t thought about remaking Biwi No 1 as of yet. Right now, we’re in the holiday mood. Let the new year begin and then we’ll think of what to do next. I know it is a convenient formula to do remakes and sequels. But we may surprise everyone by doing an entirely original film this time.” ALSO READ: Varun Dhawan Heads For His New Year Vacation, But Where Is Natasha Dalal?
