This is a box office clash like no other – Sonam Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding , produced by sister Rhea Kapoor and their brother Harshvardhan Kapoor’s Bhavesh Joshi Superhero are releasing on the same day – June 1. However, the actor who is all set to give Bollywood a new superhero, isn’t worried at all. His film is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and revolves around a man who is forced on a path of vengeance. Talking about the film’s clash with Shashanka Ghosh’s comedy-drama Veere Di Wedding, Harsh said, “The films belong to two completely different worlds. It’s a great date for both of them because it’s the first weekend after the end of the country’s biggest cricketing league. The other big releases will have filtered out by then too. Sonam, Rhea, dad (Anil Kapoor) and I are thrilled about the simultaneous releases because June 1 will be a day of celebration. We are not looking at it as a clash, it’s a great opportunity.” Also Read - India-China Standoff: Aamir Khan Cancels Ladakh Shooting of Laal Singh Chaddha Due to Galwan Clash

Talking to Mumbai Mirror, Harshvardhan also said that audience can expect more such overlaps in the future when one Kapoor starrer will lock horns with another star from the same clan. “With dad, Arjun, Janhvi (cousins) and many other siblings working round-the-clock at the movies, there are bound to be more overlaps in the future.” Also Read - Saroj Khan Death: Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Heartfelt Tribute to Her Masterji Will Make You Emotional

Harsh took a risk with his debut film, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya (2015). It was a aimed at reinventing the romantic fantasy-musical genre but failed to impressed many. However, Harshvardhan is unaffected as he doesn’t ‘want to be known as an actor who never tried’. “If the film works, it’s phenomenal, and if it doesn’t, people still applaud the effort. That’s what I have tried with a first-of-its-kind neo-noir thriller like Bhavesh Joshi. I truly believe that it is a mainstream film with a completely new story and treatment,” he said about his upcoming release.
