Vidya Balan is one of the Bollywood actresses who have always maintained a healthy distance from controversies. You will hardly notice her name cropping up any scandals or making headlines for no reasons. She maintains a low profile and keeps her personal well guarded from the media. She married producer Sidharth Roy Kapur after dating him for a brief period of time. Though Vidya was rumoured to be dating Shahid Kapoor her Kismat Konnection co-star but she refused to acknowledge the rumours. Vidya rings in her 38th birthday on January 1, 2016 and plans to spend her birthday with family this year.
The actress while talking to Hindustan Times revealed her birthday plans. The Kahaani 2 actress is likely to host a party for her birthday this year and it will be private one. She was quoted by the daily saying,“I’ll be with my family. I may want to have a party this year, but it’ll be a private one with close people. And I’ll like to let my hair down (smiles).” The actress also revealed that she is looking forward to the new year as she has two films, Begum Jaan and Tumhari Sulu, lined up for release. “I have Begum Jaan, which is extremely powerful. It let me vent my angst as a woman. In Tumhari Sulu, I play a radio jockey. The character is different from the morning jockey I played earlier for Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006). When Vidya was asked about one actor who surprised her with his or her performance, she quickly named Alia Bhatt. The actress retorted, “I loved Alia Bhatt in Udta Punjab. I didn’t expect to see her in that role. The way she did it — with complete abandon… you don’t see Alia Bhatt anywhere [in the character]. I think that is admirable and that really surprised me.”
Vidya has shared screen space with a number of actors, both young and old, till now. When Vidya was asked to name one male actor with whom she can make a hot combination on screen, she named Ranbir Kapoor.
