Vidya Balan is known to be an actor who can carry an entire film on her shoulders. Currently, she is busy promoting her upcoming slice of life film, Tumhari Sulu, which is slated to release on November 17, this year. She is currently giving one press interview after another to promote her film, and while one is supposed to do so for a film to make enough buzz ahead of its release, it can get quite taxing for the actor in question. Recently, during one such promotional event, Vidya was subjected to an embarrassing situation by a journalist who asked her if she was planning on losing weight anytime soon to do glamorous roles. Also Read - Neha Dhupia Drops Picture of Breastfeeding Her Newborn - #FreedomToFeed Wherever And However a Mom Wants!

As if this wasn’t enough, he further went on to ask Vidya if she would continue to do women centric films as according to him, if you’re not sexy enough to do glamorous roles women oriented films are the only option that you have. To this, Vidya, stated that there was no relation between the two as she was happy with the work that she was doing and that people’s mindsets needed to change. Her exact reply was, ““I am very happy with what I am and the movies that I’m doing. But yes, if the mindset of people like you could change, it would be amazing,” was Vidya’s reply. Vidya’s response was indeed befitting and kudos to her for handling the awkward situation gracefully. Vidya is one of those few actresses who is absolutely comfortable in her own skin and we love her for that. In an earlier interview, Vidya told a leading daily, “I was actually at a point three years ago where I was finally feeling happy with myself, my body. And then I started gaining weight, and would wake up feeling unhealthy. I had been put on medication for a disease I didn’t even have and that took its toll. And, suddenly, all my body issues came back, and my movies weren’t doing well but then I realised the Universe was saying ‘you thought this was it’. And, all I needed to do was change my attitude. The situation is still the way it was, but I am just looking at it differently now, and being positive.”  Coming back to her film, Tumhari Sulu, it’s helmed by Suresh Triveni and also stars Manav Kaul, Neha Dhupia and RJ Malishka in pivotal roles.
