One such similar story is of Vijay Varma, who has been headline no just for his work and the complex roles he has played, but also for his public relationships. Recently, he opened up about how his public relationship and media scrutiny have shaped his perception in the industry.

As he is all geared up to be back on the screen, Gustaakh Ishq. He will return to the big screen after nearly 14 months. Speaking about his journey and struggles. He said, “I have never really worried about being inside any kind of box because I know I have more to offer.”
Even when the industry restricted him to supporting characters and negative roles, he always had faith in himself. He added, “So, even when supporting parts were coming my way, and negative parts were what people were remembering me by, I knew I would grow out of it. I have a lot more to offer.”

He also revealed how it took time for him to get lead roles. He continued, “I spent a few years without work or doing minor parts. Because of my sincerity and the relentless pursuit I have for the craft, I knew I deserved to be a leading actor, and I worked towards it.”

How public relationships changed perception

Vijay also confessed that his public relationship with Tamannaah Bhatia changed his perception, especially when he was linked to Tamannaah Bhatia. “I feel it was a byproduct of being in the spotlight for being in a public relationship. People saw me in a certain way,” he said.

He added, “The work wasn’t coming out, so the conversation was about everything else.” He further stated,
“I would have liked complete silence, but that’s not possible… Your decisions and your lives are being scrutinised every single day, so that’s how it is. I did need a gap; I needed more silence. But that’s something I don’t have any control over.”
