In the glitzy and glamorous world of Bollywood, we often see the picture-perfect life of celebrities; however, behind the glamour, the red carpet, and applause, there is much more than meets the eye. One such similar story came from Vikrant Massey. The 12th fail actor recently spoke about his journey into fatherhood, his wife Sheetal Thakur’s intense pregnancy experience, and the real meaning of marriage. He also shared about the moments that shaped him not just as an actor, but as a husband and a father.
Vikrant Massey and Sheetal Thakur welcomed their baby boy, Vardaan, in 2024, two years after getting married. Speaking about the transformative experience, Vikrant said, “During the nine months of pregnancy, to see Sheetal… and I have known Sheetal for more than 10 years. To see that little girl, to see her belly grow day by day. She went through 30 hours of labour, I think. I mean, women endure a lot.”
He further added that no effort from a man can ever match what women go through, saying, “Whatever a man does, nothing can even ‘come close’ to it.”
On the podcast, Vikrant also revealed that it was Sheetal who chose their son’s name, Vardaan.
While discussing marriage, Vikrant shared a heartfelt insight into what keeps a relationship strong. He said, “Marriage is a constant work in progress, pouring energy in all possible ways.”.
The couple’s love story began in 2015 through a mutual friend, but it wasn’t until 2018, when they worked together on Broken But Beautiful, that sparks truly flew. Vikrant also shared about his wife, Sheetal, who supported him during the difficult times of his life, including times when she helped him financially.
They registered their marriage in 2022 on Valentine’s Day, followed by a traditional Himachali wedding on February 18 with only close family and friends present.
In December 2024, Vikrant made a post that led many fans to assume he was quitting acting. In the post he wrote, “So coming 2025, we would meet each other again for one last time. Until the time seems right.”
He later clarified it wasn’t retirement but a temporary break to spend time with family and recharge.
