The makers of the film Velai Illa Pattadhari 2 aka VIP 2 have already got Dhanush and Kajol’s fans all interested with its theatrical release and songs. The attraction of Soundarya Rajinikanth’s film is not only to see Dhanush recreating the magic of VIP with his swag in this sequel but also Bollywood actress Kajol’s role of a stylish entrepreneur. She will play the antagonist.
Following the positive response and commercial success of the 2014 blockbuster film Velai Illa Pattadhari, yet again VIP 2, in order to cash in on the popularity of Dhanush and Kajol among the Tollywood and Bollywood film audience, the filmmakers will be releasing it in Telugu and Hindi too. The film stars Dhanush and Amala Paul in the lead roles and Bollywood actress Kajol (new entry). It also features Vivek, Saranya Ponvannan and Samuthirakani returning from the first film.
At the launch of audio tracks of VIP 2, Kajol had said that she was very skeptical about acting in another language and the director Soundarya Rajinikanth had lied to her about having hardly any scenes where she has to speak the language, looks like with the support of Soundarya, she had been able to pull off this role pretty well. “Fortunately, they both lied to me so that I don’t have to be nervous at all. However, when I reached the sets, I was given this huge page and I was like, ‘but I wasn’t supposed to learn all this and they were like at least try’. Of course, we tried and worked it out, said Kajol”
“They taught me a lovely system of working and it took us a day or two and eventually we got into the whole flow of things and it worked out well.
