When Kajol gave her nod for Dhanush’s upcoming Tamil film VIP 2 aka Velaiyilla Pattathari 2, it became a big thing for her fans. Everyone was stunned that the Bollywood actress chose to enter the South Indian Cinema at this time. Her move became a highly debated topic as VIP would be her second film after Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer failed to give Kajol the much expected recognition in her second innings.With VIP Kajol would be re-entering Tamil cinema after a gap of nearly two decades.
Kajol had worked in Minsara Kanavu, which was eventually dubbed as Sapnay in Bollywood. The film is a sequel of Tamil Velaiyilla Pattathari (VIP) and is directed by Rajinkanth’s younger daughter and Dhanush’s sister-in-law, Soundarya Rajinikanth. On the occasion of New year, she chose to reveal the first look of her next project. Soundarya shared two posters of VIP2 on her microblogging account. You can see Kajol posing with Dhanush alongside a construction site in one of the pictures. Fans went bersek to see the first pictures of this most awaited project. They started to congratulate Soundarya for her movie and also thanked her for this unanticipated treat. Dhanush, the lead actor of the movie, was also unaware of this development. He also sent her best wishes to the filmmakers by saying “Thank you soundarya:) that’s a very sweet gesture. #vip2.thank you all for always standing by me. Love u all. In the first poster of VIP 2, you see Dhanush dressed as a construction engineer facing off against Kajol. Its been reported that the Bollywood actress will be seen in a negative role in the movie. In the second poster, Dhanush is sitting in front of a tea stall surrounded by few jobless people. He is seen sipping a tea from a glass and the poster says ‘Tea Kadai Rajas Are Back”. Kajol looks fresh and young in the poster and we are dying to see more of her from the movie.
Earlier today, Soundarya’s sister Aishwarya also shared the first look of her sports biopic, Mariyappan. Shah Rukh Khan has in fact shared the poster as a New Year gift with everyone. Soundarya also thanked the superstar for his kind gesture saying, “Thank you so much for this dearest sir and here’s wishing you a very happy new year ..we all love and adore you tons.”
