For long time now there have been rumours that all is not well between Akshay Kumar and producer Vipul Shah. But all those stories can rest now as Vipul himself has cleared all the air. Apparently, it’s the upcoming film, Namastey England that was a point of disagreement for Akshay and Vipul. Some reports suggested that it’s a sequel to Namastey London, which had Akshay and Katrina Kaif, and that Vipul doesn’t want Akshay to star in the second part. However, Vipul has squashed all the reports during an interaction with ANI.

Firstly, Vipul cleared that Namastey England is not a sequel to Namastey London. “It’s a totally fresh script and a new story. There’s a possibility of the title working out really well, but it’s not a sequel,” Shah was quoted.

And as for the rumours about a rift with Akshay, Vipul put them to rest as well as he said, “It’s a preposterous idea to suggest that I’d replace Akshay in my film. People need to know that we’ve been together for the past 16 years. We’ve gone through so many ups and downs, but our relationship has been absolutely rock steady. Our kids are friends with each other; my wife and Tina are friends, too. So, people should not think that one film can cause any problem in us. Our relationship goes way beyond doing one film.” ALSO READAfter Salman Khan, Kabir Khan To Direct Akshay Kumar In His Next?

So will he collaborate with Akshay anytime soon? Well, Vipul had the answer to that question as he added, “I can tell you this with complete authority that I’ll be doing a film with Akki very soon. I don’t know which film it would be, but we would be working on one very soon.”

Vipul and Akshay have worked together on films like Action Replayy, Namastey London, Aankhen, Waqt and Singh is Kinng, and mostly all of them have been a success. So it’s obvious that we can’t wait for them to collaborate again and deliver another blockbuster. Mutual thoughts?
