Initially it was known that just one of his movies, titled ‘A Gentleman’ with Jacqueline Fernandez was to release this year, on August 25. However, if recent reports are to believed the actor’s movie starring opposite Sonakshi Sinha, titled Ittefaq is also expected to release this year. While the exact date of the film’s release hasn’t been decided, reports indicate that the makers are zeroing in on November. DNA quoted a source close to the development as saying, “They’ve finished shooting. Only the promotional track and some patchwork remain to be shot. Apparently there’s a long gap between Diwali, ie October 18 and November 17, when Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati is expected to release. “The makers plan to release the film in the second week of November, as it means a solo release, and a gap of two weeks before Golmaal Again and Secret Superstar hit the screens,” the source revealed.
Ittefaq is a remake of the 1969 hit film, that went by the same title. The original film starred superstars Rajesh Khanna and Nanda. The movie was produced by BR Chopra and directed by his brother Yash Chopra. Although this movie is said to be a remake, the plot is expected to be completely different. The remake version will be produced by BR Films in collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
