So its official that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat is all set to release on January 25 and will clash with Akshay Kumar’s PadMan. Earlier when Akshay was asked about the Padmaavat – PadMan clash he was quoted saying, “It is not about competition, it is a very big day, a big week, so all the films can come, both the films can release on that day. Every film has the right to release whenever they want, and I am happy for them.” But wife Twinkle who is also turning producer with PadMan does not seem to be too happy about the Padmaavat – PadMan clash.
When asked by Hindustan Times about the much talked about clash, Twinkle said, “It’s not pleasant for both [the parties] and will impact both. But they have also been through enough of their own hurdles. But I wish they would have come a week earlier or a week after us preferably. I am sure Mr [Sanjay Leela] Bhansali has made a wonderful movie but we are very confident of our content. So, I am not apprehensive, and we are not going to move or anything because we are very happy with what [date] we have. (laughs).” (ALSO READ: Box Office Collection Of PadMan Doesn’t Matter, Says Akshay Kumar )

Even R Balki who has directed PadMan is not very pleased about clashing with Bhansali’s film. He was quoted saying, “Our film was supposed to release on Republic Day from the outset. It’s a free country and if people insist on a particular day, nobody can stop them. However, it is silly to clash in a small industry; there are enough dates for everyone. It’s not the wisest thing for films to clash.”
