Premam girl Sai Pallavi’s debut in the Tamil film industry is surely a highly awaited event and she was said to be making her debut opposite Vikram in his next movie to be directed by Vijay Chander. She was roped in for the project but then apparently, she had to walk out of the film. Vikram is presently busy with ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’ directed by Gautham Menon and hence Vijay Chander’s project might take some time to take off. She will now be a part of the remake of the hit Malayalam movie ‘Charlie’. She will be seen romancing Madhavan in this movie.
Now that Sai Pallavi has walked out of the project, it is being said that the makers are considering the name of Baahubali actress Tamannah Bhatia for the female lead opposite Vikram. If everything will go accordingly, it will be the first time when Vikram and Tamannah will be seen sharing the screen space. The official confirmation is still awaited. It is said that this movie is going to be an out and out mass entertainer and it would have been different for Sai Pallavi because of the ‘soft’ image she has among her fans.
Actor Vikram, who was last seen sporting a thick beard for the Tamil action film “Irumugan”, has undergone a makeover for his upcoming spy-thriller ‘Dhruva Natchathiram’. According to a source, he will be seen sporting the salt-and-pepper look in the film. “For most part of the film, he will be seen in a salt-and-pepper getup. There might be some flashback portions where he will be required to look younger. The film’s shoot will commence later this week in Coonoor,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS. In this film Vikram plays John, a spy on a covert mission. However, his rivals learn about his whereabouts and kidnap his handler called Mr K to draw Dhruva out in open. Vikram’s look, the tone and texture of the film are quite intriguing, from what we get from the teaser. Even though he is playing the role of a top Indian spy, who assists the CIA in investigations, he threatens his rival using a Tamil slang. And that adds more layers to his already super cool character.
