Telugu actress Kalpika Ganesh landed herself in a legal controversy after she created a ruckus at a Prism Pub for allegedly misbehaving with the staff members. The incident happened on May 29, and the case got registered against the actress at Gachibowli police station.

Kalpika, who visited the establishment with a male friend, allegedly damaged the property, threw plates, body-shamed staff members and used foul language, as per the complainant. The heated altercation with the management began when she refused to pay for a cheesecake, insist demanding to be served as complimentary.

Claiming other restaurants offer the same gesture, the hotel provided her a complimentary brownie in attempt to dissolve the matter. However, she remained adamant, and escalated the matter even in the absence of police. She is booked under sections 324(4), 352, and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) after receiving official notice from the court.

Born in Hyderabad, Kalpika made her Telugu debut in 2009 with the film, Prayanam. Later, she starred in several popular movies as a supporting actress, including Orange, Julayi,Seethamma Vakitlo Sririmalle Cheetu, Padi Padi Leche Manasu, HIT: The First Case, Yashoda. Besides films, she also acted in two web series including Ekkadiki Ee Parugu and Loser. Her last film appearance was in the Telugu drama Atharva in 2023.
