Tamil actor, Vijay Sethupathi also a proud father of two, in a recent chat with Variety, revealed a little about his cherished bond with his children. It turns out he often engages his children in discussions about his work life, encouraging them to give their perspectives on his intriguing film scenes, and openly sharing his experiences and insights with them. Sethupathi, shared his reflections on how his real-life experiences as a parent significantly influenced his character portrayal in his latest movie, “Maharaja.” In conversation, the actor shed light on how experiences with his own kids affected his character in the movie Maharaja. He acknowledged the impact of his real-life fatherhood shaping the way he represents his character on-screen.

He added, “I have a son and daughter. I love my daughter so much. If she dominates me, I always love that. I call her amma (mother) and my son appa (father). I keep talking to them and whenever I go to shoot, if I have any interesting scenes, I talk to them, I share with them (sic).”

He deeply values the topics he chooses to delve into and genuinely appreciates the guidance offered to him. While many may presume he holds a paternalistic role, he confesses that he sometimes feels more akin to my children.
