Vidya Balan seems to be having a lot in her kitty right now. The Kahaani actress has been bombarded with film offers and she is currently busy picking and choosing roles for her next. Vidya seems to be having the best time of her life making way to a flourishing career after a short break. Her last film Kahaani 2 failed to set the cash registers ringing at the box office. Hence, fans of the actress are looking forward to her upcoming flicks.
News has it that Vidya has been offered a grey role and is liking the script of the project too. She has never played a role of such kind on the silver screen before and this is the reason she is feels attracted to the script so much. She just signed Tumhari Sulu, in which she will play a radio jockey, much like her Munna Bhai MBBS 2. Now she has also given her nod to Soumik Sen’s (Gulaab Gang director) next. The project is touted around a married woman who has a mysterious past. Her character will have shades of grey and if everything comes through than Vidya will be seen in such kind of role for the very first time.
Earlier, Soumik had denied all the rumours to Deccan Chronicle saying, “I am not making any film with Vidya Balan. In fact, I have not written any script for her. I met Vidya at Aamir Khan’s party and we just had a casual chat. I think that’s when people started speculating about me making a film with her. The filmmaker is known to make women-centric projects. His last film Gulaab Gang starring Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawal received critical acclaim. The filmmaker also clarified that has been working on a few scripts currently but none of it are women-centric. He adds, “They’re more in the sphere of drama and I have not approached any actors for them yet.”
