Known for films like Eega (Makkhi) and Gentleman among others, popular Telugu actor, Nani, met with an accident yesterday. His car reportedly hit the electric pole in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills area after his driver named Srinivas dozed off behind the wheel. Sub-Inspector Naresh from the Jubilee Hills police station was quoted as telling a leading daily that the accident took place around 4:30 am on Friday when the SUV driven by Srinivas with Nani in the backseat rammed into an electric pole. He added that they were saved due to the airbags installed in the car, which reduced the impact of the crash. The actor escaped with just minor bruises, reports said. The driver has reportedly been taken into custody for investigation and has been booked under Section 3 of PDPP (prevention of damage to public property) Act. While fans were worried sick about the actor’s safety, Nani took to Twitter to convey about his well being to his fans. He wrote, ““I’m okay 🙂 Just a few bruises here and there .. Small break from the Yudham .. On the work front, the actor is currently shooting for Krishnarjuna Yuddham, helmed by Merlapaka Gandhi. The movie also stars Anupama Parmeswaran and Rukshar Mir in pivotal roles. In the movie, the actor plays a double role of Krishna and Arjun. Majorly shot in Prague, Europe and Czech Republic, the film is expected to be a major visual treat and is slated to release on April 12 this year. The actor impressed the audiences with his previous film, Middle Class Abbayi (MCA ) that released during the long Christmas weekend last year. Although the film had a successful run at the Box Office, the critics, slammed the film, calling it one of Nani’s least impressive films.
