The makers have spent crores of rupees on making their sets. According to the Express report, one episode of ‘Harry Potter Reboot’ will cost around 100 million dollars (approx Rs 856 crore). There are reports that the show is likely to have six episodes.
Media reports claim that the total production budget of ‘Harry Potter Reboot’ is set to be 4.2 billion dollars (approx Rs 34,240 crores). Till now, the most expensive TV show is The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The total budget of its two seasons was a little over 1 billion dollars. The new season of ‘Harry Potter’ has surpassed it.
A large part of the budget of the new Harry Potter series is being spent on shooting and sets. The Sun’s report states that 1.3 billion dollars has been spent on the set itself. The makers have built the entire city, for which a huge amount of money had to be spent. This series, based on JK Rowling’s novel about Harry Potter, has gained immense popularity worldwide.
