Dec 12th: X Men: Apocalypse just released its first theatrical trailer. The movie which is scheduled for a May 2016 release has an all star cast including the previous movie characters of Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Professor X (James McAvoy), Raven (Jennifer Lawrence). Oscar Isaac takes on the titular character villain role with other Marvel comic characters returning to the big screen including Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) and Storm (Alexandra Shipp). The trailer shows Apocalypse recruiting his legion or the Four Horsemen as Moira explains it, to bring about the death of whole world for a new beginning. He recruits Magneto, Storm and two new characters of Pyslocke (Olivia Munn) and Angel (Ben Hardy) both of whom look dangerous
The surprising thing is the fact that Raven is not in her Mutant self, rather bending in as humans. Her scenes from the movie look similar to her portrayal of Katniss Everdeen from Hunger Games and in fact the biggest disappointment in the trailer. Raven, her character is in fact the one proud mutant and from the looks of it she is trying to be human and normal. (ALSO READ: Hugh Jackman may join ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ reshoots)
Finally, the Professor X is finally going to become bald as the post logo scene shows. Also similar to the cartoon series, there is also a still in which his eyes blacken. This can be because Apocalypse can now control Professor and that is why Raven has to lead the young X Men to battle. Quicksilver also makes an appearance in the trailer, twice and will finally get a full movie role.
