Yash Raj Films, one of the largest production houses of the country, has fired Ashish Patil, vice president, Brand Partnerships and Talent Management and Business, and creative head following sexual harassment allegations against him. In an official statement, the studio has shown its support to the ongoing #MeToo movement informing that it has terminated Patil’s services with immediate effect. An aspiring actress accused Ashish of sexual harassment on the pretext of offering her work at YRF. After the allegations surfaced, Yash Raj Films ordered an enquiry on the matter.

On a related note, Yash Raj Films has bankrolled Thugs of Hindostan. The movie featuring Katrina Kaif, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Fatima Sana Shaikh, is all set to hit the screens on November 8.
