This is exciting! Priyanka Chopra is coming back to the city and we cannot hold our horses. The actress was busy travelling from one country to another as a part of the promotions of her recently released maiden Hollywood film, Baywatch. There were reports that she has bagged two more Hollywood films, because of which she won’t be returning to Mumbai before September. This piece of news disheartened her legion of fans here, but Priyanka is not the one to keep her fans sad, as she took off from LA last night and is expected to land in Mumbai shortly; maybe by tonight. “Why is it so much better to procrastinate than doing the work I’m supposed to on a transAtlantic flight! Wifi is a distraction! #Mumbaibound!,” the actress tweeted while she was in the flight. Not just that, she also posted a video on her Instagram story saying, “There’s something so special about heading home. I mean, I know I haven’t taken off yet but I can’t wait to be back in Bombay.” And we can’t wait to see you here Priyanka.
So is Priyanka coming here to announce her Bollywood projects? Well, it is quite likely, as according to a report in Mid Day, she will be here for four days, and she will not only make an official announcement on her next Bollywood films, but also fulfill some other work commitments, which is related to her new production ventures and brand deals. The report further states that it is highly possible that she will sign Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s long impending film, which is a biopic on poet Amrita Pritam “In all likelihood, Priyanka’s trip will culminate in the project being locked. An official announcement however will only be made after the male lead (for the part of legendary poet Sahir Ludhianvi) is cast,” a source was quoted by the tabloid. Coming back to her Hollywood projects, while it was already known that she is on-board for A Kid Like Jake, which will also feature Jim Parsons, Claire Danes and Octavia Spencer. And yesterday, a report in Variety said that she is also in talks for the New Line comedy Isn’t It Romantic opposite Rebel Wilson.
