Ram Navami is the celebration of Hindu god Lord Ram’s birthday, who is also happens to be the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu. On Ram Navami, devotees perform special rituals, sing religious hymns and conduct puja at their home to celebrate the Lord’s birthday. They also tend to observe fast this day. Situated on the banks of River Godavari, is one of the most famous Ram temple- Bhadrachalam Temple in Telangana. It is one of the touristy places of Telangana and also an important Hindu pilgrimage centre.
Sitamarhi Temple, Bihar
Bihar’s Sitamarhi Temple has an unique history which makes it even more auspicious. It is believed that Holy mother Sita was found in the same place while ploughing the land. To mark the place, sculptures of Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman were put up by Mithila’s King Janaka. Ramanathaswamy Temple, Ponda
In this temple, two lingams are worshiped – one built by Goddess Sita and another brought by Lord Hanuman from the Himalayas. Ram Navami festival is celebrated with much fervour at the Ramnath Temple with special prayers being offered to Lord Ram.
