Barcelona, June 7: Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez will wait until after 2014 World Cup to decide whether to move to Qatar, where he received an attractive offer, or stay at the Catalan club.

The 34-year-old’s future is depending on a meeting with the new appointed coach Luis Enrique, according to Radio Catalunya, reports EFE.

Enrique, who replaced Gerardo Martino, said in May that he knows Xavi quite well as a friend and a teammate and they will talk to settle things up. The meeting never happened as the player went on vacation followed by preparing for the World Cup.

Along with Qatar, Xavi also has an offer from New York City FC that was purchased by owners of Manchester City. Xavi played in Barca for 16 years and helped the team to grab 22 championships.
