How many times have you wanted to cook but just felt too lazy to do everything from scratch? Remember: work smarter, not harder!
You can simplify your life with ready to use ingredients for simple dishes for great taste and less hassle. Here’s a recipe for an easy sausage and mushroom dinner that you can make with minimal ingredients, that is also delicious!
- 1 package (6 links) of Costco Chicken and Apple Sausage (Aidells brand works)
- 1 small package of mushrooms
- 2 TBSP garlic spread
- 3 TBSP Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 TBSP Italian Seasoning
- 2 TBSP No Salt Organic Seasoning (Available at Costco)
- 1 Jar Organic Tomato Basil Pasta Sauce
- 1 TSP Black Pepper
Chop the sausage into half-inch circles. Wash the mushrooms thoroughly and cut into half pieces
Heat up a pan with some olive oil and add the sausage pieces. Be sure to pay attention to the amount you’ve put in the pan, if your sausage needs more add as you go. Cook until the slight pink color gets a little darker.
Add mushrooms and garlic paste to the pan, then stir until the paste melts into the mushrooms and sausage.
Add the no salt seasoning. When the mushrooms have begun to shrink, add half a jar of pasta sauce.
Reduce the heat in the pan to low-medium and let your sauce simmer with your sausage and mushrooms.
After 4-5 minutes, add some black pepper. Watch to see the pasta sauce reduce so it covers the sausage but doesn’t take up much of the pot.
Once ready, plate and serve your dish!
Note: You can use the leftover sauce and sausage as a pasta sauce! Enjoy!
