Australia lost their high profile clash against New Zealand by only one wicket at the Eden Park. Michael Clarke after winning the toss, decided to bat first, but Australia were bowled out for 151 in 32.2 overs with Black Caps pacer Trent Boult (5/27) picking up his first five-wicket haul in One-Day Internationals (ODI). But it was not an easy chase for New Zealand as Mitchell Starc came out all guns firing, clinching six for 28 in nine overs — his best bowling figures so far. The Black Caps managed to win the game eventually with a wicket in hand.

India achieved their third consecutive victory of the cricket World Cup when they comprehensively beat the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by nine wickets in a Pool B encounter at the WACA. After bowling out the UAE for a 102, the lowest total of the current World Cup, in 31.3 overs, India achieved the paltry target in 18.5 overs with opener Rohit Sharma top scoring an unbeaten 57. Man-of-the-match Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers, notching his first four-wicket haul in One-Day Internationals (ODI) for 25 runs from 10 overs which also included a maiden.
Day 16 Schedule, Match 22: Sri Lanka and England eye better show in Wellington
England after managing to register sole win against Scotland in 2015 Cricket World Cup so far, will be looking to get their act together against 1996 champions Sri Lanka in a Pool A match at the Westpac Stadium, Wellington. Sri Lanka also did not have the best of starts to their World Cup campaign after losing to the Black Caps in their opener but subsequently pulled up their socks. They were given a hard time by a spirited Afghanistan but managed to win by four wickets and then outplayed Asian counterparts Bangladesh by 92 runs. Pakistan is currently bottom placed in Group B after embarassing defeats against India and West Indies. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe are coming off huge defeat against West Indies in their previous match.
